Foundation Course in Palliative Care (FCPC)
A 3-day training program (May 2024) for nursing and ANM
students covering principles of palliative care, communication,
pain and symptom management, and home-based care. Around
125 students participated and gained essential knowledge and
practical skills for compassionate care delivery
Simulation-Based Palliative Nursing & Pediatric Cancer Care Training
Conducted from 14–16 November 2025, this program provided hands-on
simulation training for nurses. It focused on symptom management,
communication skills, and end-of-life care. Participants improved clinical competency, decision-making, and patient-family interaction skills.
Community Paediatric Palliative Care Initiative
Held from 17–19 December 2025 in a community setting, this
program trained caregivers, volunteers, and nurses in paediatric
palliative care. It emphasized practical caregiving skills, emotional
support, and community-based care for children with serious
illnesses.
Women’s Day Health Awareness & Screening Camp
Organized on 6 March, this program promoted women’s health and
palliative care awareness. It included free medical screening, cancer
awareness sessions, and expert talks. The initiative highlighted early
detection and improved access to healthcare services.
World Mental Health Day Awareness Program
On October 10, SOUL Palliative Care conducted an awareness
program to promote mental well-being and reduce stigma around
mental health. The session covered recognizing stress, anxiety, and
depression, included interactive discussions, and demonstrated simple
relaxation techniques. Educational materials on self-care and seeking
support were shared, encouraging participants to openly discuss and
prioritize their mental health.
