About Us
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with serious illnesses. At Soul Palliative Care, we focus on providing relief from pain, symptoms, and suffering while improving the quality of life for both patients and their families, no matter the diagnosis or stage of illness. Since 2017, we have been serving patients in four districts of Tamil Nadu through our dedicated multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and volunteers. Our care reaches directly into the homes of those in need, especially the underprivileged and marginalized communities.
Through our home care program, we provide regular doctor and nurse visits, physiotherapy services, medicines, assistive devices, and nutritional support in the form of food kits. We also extend our support beyond medical care by helping with children’s education, facilitating vocational training, and offering rehabilitation assistance to families who have lost their source of income. In addition, we provide counseling and emotional support to ensure that patients and families are cared for in a holistic manner.
Over the years, Soul Palliative Care has reached more than 30 villages in and around Chennai and has cared for over 2,000 patients, most of whom come from economically disadvantaged and marginalized backgrounds. Our mission is to ensure that every person we serve is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, while receiving the care and support they need to live with comfort and hope.
What We Do
Why We are the Best?
We deliver structured, home-based palliative care grounded in clinical expertise, compassion, and ethical practice. Our multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and trained caregivers provides personalized medical, emotional, and psychosocial support. By focusing on comfort, dignity, and continuity of care, we help patients manage complex illnesses at home while supporting families with guidance, counselling, and coordinated services throughout the care journey.
Mission
To continuously grow and reach people who suffer from pain and other serious disease related symptoms, provide dignity in death and quality of life to the living, and treat everyone with compassion, empathy and non-judgemental humaneness and not to let lack of awareness stand in anyone’s way of accessing the care they need.
Vision
A future where anyone with serious health-related suffering gets necessary care irrespective of their circumstances, and healthcare providers inculcate the aspects of palliative care in their practice.
Objective
- Ensure continuous home-based palliative care for chronically ill and terminally ill patients.
- Improve quality of life through pain relief, symptom management, and emotional support.
- Strengthen caregivers through training and counselling.
- Support vulnerable families through food kits, hygiene kits, and assistive devices.
- Build community awareness on cancer, elderly care, and chronic disease prevention.
- Train nursing students and volunteers to strengthen the future palliative care workforce.
